The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.234 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a) r/w Section 4(1-A)) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. He had been arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.09.2023. 2.It is stated that the petitioner was found in possession of 237 Government liquor bottles with intention to sell it to the black market. 3.It is stated that there are two previous cases pending against the petitioner herein.

4.Taking into consideration the nature of offence committed by the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the case is under investigation, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed with liberty to file a fresh petition, if there is any change in circumstances. 17.10.2023 ata C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.
