2. Mr.R.O. Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents.
3. The petitioner was appointed as an Office Assistant through an appointment order issued by the 4th respondent on 20.02.2013 on compassionate appointment basis due to the death of his father C.Subramaniyan on 15.02.2005, while he was in public service. The petitioner considering his educational qualification is now seeking to get appointed as a Junior Assistant or Skill Assistant - II. In such circumstances, he has given a representation on 20.09.2022 to the respondents. Since the representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.
4. Heard Mr.K.Karthik, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.O. Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2022 seeking for appointment as Junior Assistant or Skill Assistant - II from the post of Office Assistant presently held by him, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
