O R D E R

The present writ petition is filed to call for the records of the 2nd respondent relating to the notification dated 07.01.1998 published in Advertisement No.2/98 for admission to preliminary examination for direct recruitment to Group I services 1997-98 and quash para 4 of the said notification in so far as it prescribes the maximum and minimum age limits to be reckoned as on 01.07.1998.

2. Heard the submission of Mr.Muthukannu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.M.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent. Mr.M.Devendran, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent is absent.

3. In the light of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the considered view that nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition as on date. Therefore, this writ petition is closed.
