ORDER

The allegation in this case is that on 03.12.2019, the accused drove the tempo traveller bearing registration No. KA 41 A 0676 in a rash and negligent manner and caused injuries to the witness and hence, a case was registered on 03.12.2019 for the offences under Sections 279 and 337 of Indian Penal Code, 1860. The final report was filed on 30.09.2020 and was taken on file. Since the accused is from Karnataka, no effective steps have been taken for the past five years to serve summons on the accused. Any service of summons hereafter would also impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused, given the 1/3

context of the nature of accident and the injury that happened to the witness.

In view thereof, the case in S.T.C.No.309 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No. II, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed. 20.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
