O R D E R

The prayer in the present petition is to call for the records in C.c. NO. 1741 of 2017 on the file of Metropolitan Magistrate Fast Track Court-II, Egmore, Chennai and set-aside the order issuing the summons dated 13.06.2017 to the petitioner /accused, by allowing this petition.

2. Today, when the matter is called, the de-facto complainant, petitioner and their counsel are present.

3. The de-facto complainant and the petitioner have submitted before this Court that the dispute between them has been settled.

4. In view of the above submissions and considering the fact that the case which is pending before the trial Court is of the year 2017, this Court is of the view that no purpose would be served in keeping the case pending. Hence this Court inclined to quash the proceedings pending before the trial Court in C.C. No. 1741 of 2017.

With the above observation, the present Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
