ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed directing the Respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 04.03.1998 made by the Petitioner on merits in accordance with law. 2.

Mr.M. Gnanasekar, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that instead of taking action on the representation of the Petitioner, the Respondent had initiated disciplinary proceeding against the Petitioner for having made such representation, which culminated in the order dated 14.01.2016 exonerating him of the charges, but the consequential benefits that the Petitioner was entitled had not been granted to him and hence, the Petitioner has made a representation dated 06.07.2018 to the Secretary to Government (Rural Development), Union Territory of Puducherry and a copy of the same with proof of delivery has been produced 3.

In view of the subsequent developments, the learned counsel submits that he is not pressing for the disposal of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 04.03.1998 sought in the Writ Petition and that the Petitioner would be satisfied if the representation dated 06.07.2018 made by the Petitioner is disposed within a reasonable time and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

Recording the aforesaid submission made, the Writ Petition is disposed with an observation that the Secretary to Government (Rural Development), Union Territory of Puducherry shall consider the representation dated 06.07.2018 made by the Petitioner and after affording opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner, pass reasoned orders on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the decision taken to the Petitioner on or before 31.08.2018. It is made clear that no views have been expressed by this Court on correctness or entitlement of the claim made by the Petitioner in the said representation. No costs.
