The petitioner is the accused in Spl.S.C.No.42 of 2023 on the file of the Fast Track Court Exclusive to deal with Offences under the POCSO Act, Puducherry, wherein he is facing trial for offences under Sections 363, 342 of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012. He had been taken into custody on 05.07.2023. As a matter of fact, Non-bailable Warrant had been issued on 22.03.2023 and the same had been executed on 05.07.2023.

2. It is stated that the trial is under progress and the matter is now at the stage of examining the Investigating Officer. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. The Fast Track Court Exclusive to deal with offence under the POCSO Act, Puducherry, is directed to complete the trial on or before 30.11.2023.
