The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VIII, Coimbatore, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.2021 of 2021 within the stipulated time. 1/4
2. The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.153 of 2021 was registered by the respondent for the offence under Sections 279, 304(A) IPC r/w Sections 134(a), 134(b) and 187 of M.V.Act, 1988. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed and taken cognizance in the year 2021 in C.C.No.2021 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.VIII, Coimbatore. However, despite the lapse of time, there has been no progress in the trial. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the case.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case particularly that the case pertains to the year 2021 and despite the filing of the charge sheet in the year 2021, the trial is still pending, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VIII, Coimbatore, is directed to complete the trial in C.C.No.2021 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible. 2/4
