The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of Certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings of the first respondent in his proceedings in No.Na.Ka.19972/2002/K1, dated 12.08.2002 on the file of the third respondent and to quash the same and to direct the respondents to renew the licence bearing No.36 in respect of the Shop No.65, Kattimedu Village Panchayat Thiruthupoondi Taluk, Tiruvarur District for the year 2002-2003. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. The very prayer sought for in this writ petition is for renewal of liquor vending licence for shop No.65 at Kattimedu Village Panchayat, Thiruthupoondi Taluk, Tiruvarur District for the year 2002-2003.
4.It is observed that after some time, the Government has taken a policy decision with regard to liquor vending of IMFL and as per the present policy, the shops are not provided with licence to any third party. Since the order seeking renewal is of the year 2002-2003, the same cannot be granted at this juncture. Therefore, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed and accordingly, the same is dismissed.
