Challenge in the present Criminal Original Petition is to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.850 of 2012, which has been alleged for offences under Section 498(A) read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prevention of Women's Harrassement Act.
2. While the first petitioner herein is the husband of the second respondent/de-facto complainant, the second petitioner is the mother-in-law of the second respondent/de-facto complainant.
3. Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/de-facto complainant would https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
submit that the issue has been settled amicably between the parties and therefore, he would submit that he has no objection, if the proceedings in C.C.No.850 of 2012 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, is quashed.
4. Recording the said submission of the learned counsel for second respondent, the proceedings in C.C.No.850 of 2019 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Alandur is quashed.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
