Proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, Villupuram, dated 24.10.2024, is sought to be assailed in the present writ proceedings.

2. Admittedly, the writ petitioner has instituted a Civil Suit in O.S.No.101 of 2018 on the file of the Principal District Court at Villupuram. The District Revenue Officer passed the impugned order by stating that the petitioner has to submit necessary application only after disposal of the suit.

3. The said finding cannot be said to be infirm. When the Civil Suit is pending with reference to the civil rights between the parties, the revenue authorities may not be in a position to adjudicate the issues touching upon the civil rights of the parties.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that a

portion of the land belongs to School. Therefore, the said land is concern, the same is to be protected by the competent authorities. In respect of other portion of the land, the parties are at liberty to approach the revenue authorities after disposal of the suit and reach a finality in the civil litigation. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (S.M.S.,J.) (S.S.,J.) 12.01.2026 vsi To
