Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing to forbear the respondents from interfering with the fest by Arulmigu Kottai Maariamman Kottai Muniapaswamy Narpannimandra Arrakkattalai, Perundurai Erode on 28.10.2019 as such other dated to where it may be held.

O R D E R
Apprehending that the respondents herein might create interference with the conduct of the festival in the petitioner's temple premises, the petitioner has filed a present Writ Petition.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the festival is being conducted every year without any disturbances to the general public. Since the petitioner intends to have the festival conducted in a peaceful manner which would benefit the devotees as well as the general public, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent police also to assist the petitioner in having the festival conducted peacefully. 3.In the light of the above observations, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the 3rd respondent/ Inspector of police seeking necessary police protection for conducting the temple festival peacefully. On receipt of such a representation, the 3rd respondent shall extend the necessary police assistance to the petitioner's temple premises for the purpose of peaceful conduct of the festival. The 3rd respondent shall endeavour to take action on the petitioner's representation preferably on the same day.
4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of, accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
