The petitioner has lodged a complaint before the third respondent police on 04.08.2025 stating that his friend viz. Priscilla, D/o.Jayaraj, aged about 23 years, is illegally detained by her own father, the 4th respondent herein, and to take action against him. Since no action has been taken by the third respondent herein within a reasonable time, he has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Since a complaint has been given to the 3rd respondent, and he is in the process of conducting enquiry, we deem it fit that the 3rd respondent

could be directed to expedite the enquiry.

3. In view of this decision, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Crime No.142 of 2025 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible. 5.With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. No costs.
