The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.04.2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.51 of 2022, seek bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was remanded to judicial custody on 13.04.2022 and he been under judicial custody for more than seven months. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the Investigating Officer has filed the charge sheet and the same has been taken on file by the learned Special Judge for NDPS Act Cases at Salem in Spl.C.C.No.74 of 2022. This is the second bail application and the earlier application has been dismissed by the learned Special Judge under EC & NDPS Act, Salem in Crl.M.P.No.706 of 2022 on 02.08.2022. Taking into consideration the facts and the submissions and considering that the case is pending before the trial Court, this Court directs the learned Special Judge under EC & NDPS Act, Salem to dispose the case pending in Spl.C.C.No.74 of 2022 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
