O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue free House Site Patta to the petitioner for the land comprised in S.No.242, Marimanikuppam Village, Tirupattur Taluk and District to the extent of 10 cents based upon the representation made by the petitioner dated 19.09.2022 in Petition No.TN/REC/TPT/I/CPLLMGDP/19SEP22/4376917 on the file of the first respondent.

2. With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's family members are residing at S.No.242, Marimanikuppam Village, Tirupattur Taluk and District to an extent of 10 cents for the past 20 years. The above said land is house site and classified as "Natham Land". The petitioner made a representation dated 19.09.2022 before the first respondent to issue free House site Patta to the aforesaid land. However, till date, the respondents have not taken any action Page No.2 of 6

on the representation dated 19.09.2022. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.09.2022 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that he has no objection for the said direction being passed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.09.2022 as per Revenue Standing Order 21 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of Page No.3 of 6

this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
