The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to subdivide and issue joint patta in the name of petitioner's for the property bearing Survey No.127/1 of Thandarai Puducherry Village, Maduranthagam Taluk, Chengalpattu District measuring to an extent of 31 cents by considering petitioner's application dated 22.04.2022 within a reasonable time and pass orders.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second Respondent to grant patta to the petitioners property.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner inherited the subject property from his father and made an application on 22.04.2022 for transferring the patta. However till date the said application was kept in abeyance. However the same was not considered. Hence this petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 22.04.2022 and pass orders

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited request sought for by the petitioner this Court directs the second respondent to consider the application dated 22.04.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as counter parties if any within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
