Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to remove the encroachment made by the 4th respondent by putting up illegal superstructure over the 30 feet public road namely Baghavathi Amman Koil 1st Cross Street, Lakshmi Amman Nagar, Erukkancherry, Chennai - 600 118 by demolishing the illegal and unauthorised constructions put up by 4th respondent.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Mathivanan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.A.Arun Babu, learned Standing Counsel for respondent 2.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the fourth respondent has made an encroachment on the public road.

3. The petitioner may approach the committee/authority, as constituted under G.O.(Ms).No.64 dated 08.02.2022, for redressal of the allegation made herein.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
