The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.07.2025 for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b) (ii) (B) and 29(i) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act in Crime No.278 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Today (25.08.2025), when the matter came up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondent police would submit that the petitioner has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and to that effect, he also produced a detention order dated 23.08.2025 passed by the learned District Magistrate and District Collector, Erode District, Erode.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. 25.08.2025 Vv To 2/4
