The petitioner has challenged the impugned Government order G.O.Ms.(2D) No.16 Higher Education Department dated 03.03.2016, whereby, tender was floated for combining the Electrical Works and Civil Works. While, preparing the estimate for the buildings costing more than Rs.10.00 crore in respect of Government Colleges/Universities under the control of Higher Education Department.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents was asked to verify and report whether the impugned Government Order is correct. It is noticed that pursuant to the impugned order, tender was also floated on 09.11.2018 as per the impugned Government Order G.O.Ms.(2D).No.16 Higher Education Department dated 03.03.2016.

3.The case was earlier heard on 11.11.2022 and adjourned at the request of the learned counsel for the respondents to get information as to whether any new Government Order has been issued.

4.Today, when the case was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has produced G.O.(Ms).No.167 Public Works (G2) Department, dated 23.11.2021, whereby, the decision that stood prior to impugned G.O.Ms(2D)No.16 Higher Education (D1) Department, dated 03.03.2016 has been restored back. In view of the above, I am of the view nothing further survives for adjudication. 3/5

5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
