ORDER

The allegation in this case is that the accused was found to be in possession of 12 bottles of 180 ml of liquor each and as such, he is charged under Section 4(1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.

2. Considering the fact that the entire quantity, even if taken, is within the individual limit and the fact that the case is pending from the year 2020, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the case. 1/3

In view thereof, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.315 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No. II, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur shall stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed. 20.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned. 2/3
