ORDER

The allegations in this case is that on 24.02.2020 in commemoration of the birthday of the former Chief Minister, a banner of dimension of 15 x 10 feet was kept by the accused and as such, a case is registered under section Section 4 B of Tamil Nadu Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1959. Considering the nature allegations and for the past five years the summons itself is not served on the accused and any further service of summons and continuing the case would impinge upon the right to speedy Page No.1 of 3

trial of the accused.

2. Accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.601 of 2020 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed.

20.08.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
