The allegations in this case is that on 19.01.2019 on behalf of trade union by name AITUTC, there was a protest without permission with reference to the lack of employment opportunities etc., Considering the fact that the allegation against the accused does not make out any offence but is in the form of democratic right to protest and further continuing the case would also impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused.
2. Accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.359 of 2019 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed.
20.08.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
