ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. Page No.1 of 4

2. The case was registered in Crime No. 63 of 2017 for the alleged offence under Section 294(b), 324 and 506(2) and Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Both sides present virtually in the Court. After persuasion, it is agreed that both sides have since moved on and the problem is not persisting with that seriousness and they will also not interfere with each other and hereafter will not interfere in the affairs and state that the case can be compromised.

3. In view of the extraordinary manner in which the dedicated bench is holding sittings in hybrid manner, without calling for any affidavit whatsoever, the compromise between the parties is recorded. After going through the facts and circumstances of the case, this is a fit case for exercise of extraordinary power under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1975 as per the dictum of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and Anr. reported in (2012) 10 SCC 303.

4. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.141 of 2020 shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of. 22.08.2025 electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
