ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2.Both sides are present virtually. The defacto-complainant submits that if the accused side given it in writing that they will not create any problem with her in future, she is willing to forgive and forget about the incident and the case can be quashed on compromise.

4.Under the extraordinary situation in which the dedicated bench is taking this matter in hybrid / virtual mode, the compromise is recorded upon such undertakings without insisting for any return affidavit before the court. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am of the view that, this is a fit case where this Court can exercise the power under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., as per the dictum of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and Anr. reported in (2012) 10 SCC 303.

5.It is informed that original parent case is C.C.No.190 of 2021. Accordingly, the cases in C.C.No.159 of 2025 and C.C.No.190 of 2021 on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur, shall stand quashed and the Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
