ORDER

The allegation in this case is that on 01.11.2019 the accused was in possession of five bottles of liquor of 180 ml each. Firstly, it can be seen that there is no previous or subsequent case against the accused. Secondly, the said quantity is within the consumable limit and thirdly, the matter is pending from the year 2019 and continuing the case hereafter would impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused.

2. Accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1081 of 2019 on the file of Page No.1 of 3

the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is allowed.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
