ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.

The allegation in this case is that, Accused No1. who is the husband of the defacto complainant, committed bigamy and cruelty and also threatened the defacto complainant.

It is seen that the person who is alleged as the second wife was Page No.1 of 3

added as the second accused. The warrant is pending against the Accused No.2. The case was split up and the matter was taken on file in C.C.No.30 of 2023. The prime accused, being the husband of the defacto complainat was tried and was acquitted. However, the Accused No.2 is unheard of and the matter is pending. The defacto complainat virtually joined this Court and stated that she no more wishes to pursue the complaint as against the respondent/Devi d/o.Dass and consented that the case closed. 4.

In view thereof, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the case against Accused No.2. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.30 of 2023 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 28.08.2025 veda electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned. Page No.2 of 3
