ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 27.09.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a complaint against one Devadoss and another on the allegation that the said persons have abused and attacked him and taken away the money from him; the grievance of the petitioner is that so far no action has been taken on the complaint given by him.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the place of occurrence falls under the jurisdiction of Maduravoyal Police Station, but the petitioner had given the complaint to Thiruverkadu Police Station; in view of that now the complaint has been transferred to Maduravoyal Police Station and hence the direction should be given to the Inspector of Police, Maduravoyal Police Station.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), I feel it is appropriate to direct the Inspector of Police, Maduravoyal, to make proper enquiry on the complaint given by

the petitioner and do the needful in the light of the guidelines laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumar Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & another reported in 2014 (2) SCC 1, while conducting enquiry.

6. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
