O R D E R

The Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "directing the respondent to pay the Petitioner the amount payable as wages towards 60 days of earned leave surrendered by him while he was in service as admitted by the respondent in their RTI, with interest at the rate of 12 % p.a., within a specified time".

2. The petitioner joined the service of the respondent corporation on 29.10.1985. After rendering 31 years of service, the petitioner retired from the service on 30.04.2016. The petitioner would submit that the respondent failed to settle the amounts due towards earned leave. In this regard the petitioner sent a representation on 10.01.2025 to the respondent. However, there is no response. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsels and perused the records.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in the light of the fact that the respondent has acknowledged the due amounts to the petitioner vide RTI reply, the respondent is directed to disburse the due amounts within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed with the above observation. No costs.
