Learned counsel for the petitioners seek permission of this Court to withdraw the petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. However, he would pray that the personal appearance of the petitioners before the trial Court may be dispensed with, in view of the hardships that would cause to them due to their regular appearance before the Court.

3. In view of the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the personal appearance of the petitioners before the trial Court is dispensed with unless, the learned Magistrate thinks their presence is necessary for the progress of the trial.

4. The learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai District is also directed to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six(6) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

5.The permission to withdraw is granted. The Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
