O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Certificate in favour of the petitioner (17TE26304142) for having passed in Teacher Eligibility Test conducted on 30.04.2017 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2019 within a time frame.

2. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is

taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner completed B.Sc. (Maths) in the year 2010 and B.Ed in the year 2011. Further she completed M.Sc. (Maths) in the year 2016 and thereby she was eligible to be appointed in the post of B.T. Assistant in the School Education Department. The petitioner is now working as B.T.Assistant (Maths) in Thiruvalluvar Higher Secondary School, Palamaner Road, Gudiyattam, Vellore District and she cleared the TET examination conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board on 30.04.2017. On 11.07.2017, the first respondent issued call letter for Certificate Verification to be conducted on 26.07.2017. On the date of Certificate Verification, the petitioner participated and produced all the original certificates, duly verified by the officials concerned.

As per NCTE Notification and Government Order, the petitioner was required to be issued with certificate for having cleared TET Paper-II, whereas, she was not issued with TET certificate by the first respondent. Therefore the petitioner sent a representation dated 29.01.2019 to the first respondent to issue Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Certificate for having passed in Teacher Eligibility Test conducted on 30.04.2017 and however, till date the same was not considered by the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.

4. Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that for the purpose of getting TET certificate, the petitioner has to furnish a Demand Draft worth Rs.100/- along with an application, if she has cleared the TET examination.

5. Heard Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

From the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents it is seen that for getting TET certificate, an application along with a Demand Draft worth Rs.100/- has to be sent to the first respondent. Accordingly, the learned counsel for the petitioner also accepted the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also seeks permission of this court to permit the petitioner to file an application along with a Demand Draft worth Rs.100/- to the first respondent for getting TET certificate.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondent to issue TET certificate to the petitioner, if any application along with

a Demand Draft worth Rs.100/- has been received by the first respondent from the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
