The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to conduct survey of his property situated in survey No.166/4B, Patta No.2423, Koovagam Village, Ulundurpet, Kallakurichi District.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the above mentioned property is ancestral property and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner submitted an application on 02.03.2021 seeking survey of the above mentioned property. The petitioner also paid necessary charges for surveying his property and the receipt enclosed in the typed set of papers. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a representation before the third respondent on 10.07.2023 seeking survey of the above mentioned land and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before 2/5

this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 02.03.2021 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
