The petitioner / A6 who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w. 7(1)(a)(II) of EC Act, 1955 in Crime No.141 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.This is the second anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner herein. Earlier anticipatory bail petition had been dismissed by an order dated 23.08.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.18686 of 2023. It is stated that the petitioner is the owner of the lorry bearing Registration No.TN-23-B-3787 and another Ashok Leyland Dhost van bearing Registration No.TN-20-VA-6846. It is stated that in both the vehicles, 30 tonnes of PDS rice apart from 500 litres of oil and 240 Kgs of Rava and 800 Kgs of Dhal and 1600 Kgs of Sugar were being transported.

3.Taking into consideration the huge quantity of products, which had been transported, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail petition to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 27.11.2023 smv 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
