ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.S. SUNDAR, J.) Seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce the petitioner's younger sister Vijayalakshmi, aged about 28 years before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2. The petitioner is the sister of the detenue. The detenue was found missing from 18.08.2023. After lodging a complaint before the second respondent on 22.08.2023, the petitioner has approached this Court with the above petition.

3. Though it is the case of the petitioner that the detenue was kidnapped by the third respondent a married man, who, according to the petitioner, had induced the detenue and kept her with him for more than one month, the detenue was secured by the police from a working women's hostel and produced before this Court. The detenue stated that she on her own decided to search a job and joined a working women's hostel. It is her version that she did not go along with the third respondent as alleged. She has also

expressed her willingness to go with her father who is present in Court.

4. Recording the statement of the detenue that she is not in the illegal custody of anyone and she is willing to go with her father, the present habeas corpus petition is closed. (S.S.S.R., J.)
