ORDER

The allegation in this case is that one G.Kala (since deceased), the defacto complainant, lodged a complaint on 07.04.2007 stating that while she was in a valid marriage, the accused developed an illicit affair with her, induced her to divorce her husband and promised to marry her. Believing him, she entered into an extra-marital relationship, divorced her husband and thereafter started living with the accused. Subsequently, second accused is said to have developed another affair and disputes among family members also arose.

2. In this case, the proceedings against A1 and A2 were split up due to a pending Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW). A3 and A4 faced trial and were acquitted on merits. The address of A1 and A2 is not known and the defacto complainant has also died. The matter is of the year 2007 and no useful purpose will be served in keeping it pending.

3. Accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No. 9 of 2024 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Egmore Taluk, Chennai stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
