ORDER

The allegation in this case is that on 24.01.2019, the accused persons staged a protest demanding permanent employment status. It is clear that the incident was in the nature of a democratic protest and no offence is made out. In any event, the accused have been facing trial since 2019. Any further continuance of trial would only impinge upon the right to speedy trial . Page No.1 of 3

For all the above reasons, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.202 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No. I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of. 21.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
