ORDER
This petition is filed seeking to direct the second respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 15.11.2022 and investigate the same in accordance with law.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that herself and her husband went to her father-in-law's house and demanded their share in the family properties; during that time some wordy quarrel had arisen between the de facto complainant and the accused and due to which the accused were said to have abused the de facto complainant and her husband in filthy language, assaulted them and outraged the modesty of the petitioner by tearing her jacket and made life threat with dire consequences; hence the petitioner had given a complaint to the second respondent on 15.11.2022; since no action has been taken, the present petition has been filed to register the complaint.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered by the
second respondent in C.S.R. No.441/2022 on 16.11.2022 and investigation is in progress.
4. Since the second respondent has registered the case and started enquiry, the petitioner is at liberty to cooperate for enquiry. The second respondent police shall complete the enquiry within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the enquiry report, she is at liberty to initiate proceedings under Section 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C. before appropriate forum.
5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
