The petitioners herein seek anticipatory bail in Crime No.517 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 427, 323, 355 and 332 IPC and Section 4 of Women Harassment Act.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that he has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. H is innocent. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioners.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) states that the defacto complainant is a Cental Nazzar in Sub Court Avinashi. On 19.02.2023, when the defacto complainant gone to serve summons on the petitioner and other accused, she was abused and assaulted by the petitioner.
4. Taking the facts into consideration that the petitioner had prevented the defacto complainant from performing her public duty, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
