Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned Notification in Spec. No. SE/CEDC/Central/ OT-27/23-24/ dated 04.08.2023 on the file of the Respondent No.5 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the all respondent to utilize the available Contract Labourers who are the members of the petitioner's association as the Mazdoor-II/Equivalent Cadre for maintenance of HT/LT - UG Distribution Network in Mylapore West Section of Mylapore Division in Chennai Central EDC instead of taking Manpower through E-Tendering within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

This writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned Notification in Spec. No. SE/CEDC/Central/OT-27/23-24/ dated 04.08.2023 on the file of the fifth respondent and direct the respondents to utilize the available contract labourers who are the members of the petitioner's association as the Mazdoor-II/Equivalent Cadre for maintenance of HT/LT - UG Distribution Network in Mylapore West Section of Mylapore Division in Chennai Central EDC instead of taking Manpower through E-Tendering.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that against the tender floated in Spec. No.27/23-24 dated 04.08.2023, tender was lodged. To that effect, he also produced a copy of the letter dated 25.11.2024 from the Superintending Engineer, TANGEDCO to M/s.AS Enterprises, Mathur, Chennai. A copy of the letter was also served to the petitioner, and no serious objection to the letter. 3.In view of the said representation, nothing survives for further adjudication in the writ petition. made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
