ORDER

This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her property comprised in Survey No.63/1, to an extent of 2102 1⁄2 sq.ft, situated at Sakthi Nagar, Plot No.2, Koneri Kuppam, Tirupattur Taluk. 2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st and 2nd respondents. Perused the materials available on record. 3.

The petitioner is none other than the sister of the third respondent herein. Both are residing at Bangalore. However, the petitioner has sought for police protection for her life and her property comprised in Survey No.63/1, to an extent of 2102 1⁄2 sq.ft, situated at Sakthi Nagar, Plot No.2, Koneri Kuppam, Tirupattur Taluk.

On instruction, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st and 2nd respondents submitted that, so far, no complaint has been received from the petitioner. Even according to the

petitioner, the complaint was sent only by post. The said property is lying vacant and no one is residing there. Both the petitioner and the third respondent are residing at Bangalore.

In view of the above, the prayer sought for in this petition cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition lacks merit and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a fresh complaint on a fresh cause of action. No costs.
