ORDER

The allegation in this case is that, on 25.09.2020, all the accused joined together and made a protest against the lock down announced by the Government for Covid - 19.

Accordingly, it can be seen that, it is in the nature of the democratic protest and no offence is made out. Further, the case is pending from the year 2020. As such, continuance of proceedings will violate the right to speedy trial of the accused.

Accordingly, the proceedings in STC.811 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur is quashed and this Suo motu Transfer case is allowed.

21.08.2025 veda electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
