Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to remove the encroachments made in S.Nos.549/9, 413/1 and 415/8 situate at Govindhapuram Village, Ariyalur Taluk and Ariyaur District i.e on the
Western Side of the water canal and Eastern side of the Thittakudi Salai.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.S.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent 4 has encroached upon the Government road.
3. The petitioner may approach the appropriate Committee constituted under the Government Order bearing G.O.(Ms) No.64, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing, dated 08.02.2022. If the petitioner files an application, then the appropriate Committee shall consider the said application on its own
merits and take a decision expeditiously in accordance with law and by adhering to the principles of natural justice.
4. In light of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
