O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI, J.) The present writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to afford an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and to consider and pass orders on his representations dated 18.12.2020 and 04.07.2022 and to issue ST Kurumans community certificate to himself, his wife, Indirani, his daughters viz., Priya, Radhika and Sandhiya on the basis of ST Kurumans community certificate of his brother C.Ulagaraj, S/o. Chinnamogu and his children.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the entire materials on record.

3. According to the petitioner, he belongs to ST Kurumans 2/6

Community. In the affidavit, he has elaborately narrated the cultural activities of the said community. In addition to that, the petitioner has also stated that ST Kurumans Community certificate has been issued to his brother viz., C.Ulagaraj who is working in the Income Tax Department. The petitioner has given representations dated 18.12.2020 and 04.07.2022 to the respondent for issuance of ST Kurumans Community certificate for himself, his wife and his daughters. Since no order has been passed by the respondent, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition.

4. Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the representations of the petitioner will be considered, after giving personal hearing and considering the certificates produced by the petitioner within the time limit prescribed by this Court.

5. Considering the above submissions and nature of relief sought for in the writ petition, the petitioner is directed to produce all the certificates relied on by him before the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On production of the documents, the respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner 3/6

dated 18.12.2020 and 04.07.2022 and conduct necessary enquiry by giving personal hearing and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months thereafter.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
