( Criminal Jurisdiction ) Thursday, the Thirty First day of October Two Thousand Nineteen PRESENT The Hon`ble Mr Justice A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS PETITION No.15639 of 2019 IN CRL.RC.NO.1031 OF 2019 P.MOHAN RAJ [ PETITIONER ] Vs M.JAYANTHI [ RESPONDENT ] Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to extend the time limit from 04.11.2019 by eight weeks swhich was graanted in Crl.MP.No.14241 of 2019 in Crl.R.C.No.1031 of 2019 dated 04.10.2019.pending disposal of the criminal Revision Petition.[CRL.MP.NO.15639/2019] Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. N.ELUMALAI, Advocate for the petitioner and of MS.CHETHARA Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to extend the time by extending to comply with the condition passed in Crl.M.P.No.14241 of 2019 in Crl.R.C.No.1031/2019, dated 04.10.2019.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Ms.Chathana, learned counsel for the respondent vehemently opposed for granting of extension of time. Further she undertakes to file vakalat for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per order, the court had directed the petitioner to deposit 25% of the arrears of maintenance as on date before the trial Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order and the date gets expires on 04.11.2019. He would submit that the petitioner is unable to deposit the huge amount, thereby, he would seek extension of time by two weeks to deposit the amount. Taking into consideration the submission, the time is extended by further period of two weeks from today. No further extension will be granted by this Court.
