ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1745 of 2023 on the file of the learned IV Fast Track Court, Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an accused and facing the charges for offence U/s.138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, on the complaint lodged by the respondent. Now, the petitioner is ready and willing to settle the matter and the petitioner is a lady and she is also suffering from cancer.

3.In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the trial Court is directed to refer the matter before the permanent Lok Adalat for an amicable settlement between the parties.

4.With the above direction, the above Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
