ORDER

In this case, the occurrence happened in the year 2016. The dependent of the deceased is present virtually before the Court. They have received compensation. It is seen that though the address of the accused was given as Selaiyur, Chennai-73, no complete address was furnished and despite best efforts, the police are unable to trace the accused. The matter has been pending from 2016. For the past nine years no meaningful trial could be conducted and proceeding further would also violate the right to speedy trial of the accused, given the context of the case and the nature of the accident. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No. 100032 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No. I, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of. 26.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
