This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to alter the FIR in Crime No.142 of 222.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.142 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 323 IPC; since sufficient materials are available to make out a case for the offences under Sections 324, 326 and 307 IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, a direction should be given to the respondent police to alter the charges appropriately.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the investigation is in progress and the representation of the petitioner will be considered depending on the materials available during investigation and appropriate charges will be mentioned while filing the final report. 2/4
