The petitioner herein in response to summons by the respondent police had appeared and promised to produce the documents required for the investigation. 2. The complaint against the petitioner is in respect of dispute relating to landed property on which the defacto complainant and the petitioner herein claims right. The petitioner, if he has any documents to substantiate the ownership, instead of creating law and order issue, he has to appear before the respondent police and co-operate with the investigation by producing the necessary documents. Protection sought in this petition cannot be granted since it will torpedo the course of investigation. At the same time, if the Investigation Officer on receiving the documents feels that it is a civil dispute, he shall record the same and close the matter in accordance with law.
