Heard Mr.Balan Haridas, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the second respondent. 2.The petitioner has challenged an intimation to pay interest under Section 24(3) of the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax Act, 1959.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, he had written to the party, but has not received any response so far.
4.At the time, when the Writ Petition was admitted, an order of interim injunction was granted, subject to the condition that the petitioner deposits a sum of Rs.9,00,000/-. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not complied with the conditions.
5.In the light of the above, no useful purpose would be served in keeping this Writ Petition pending any longer. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioner to workout their remedy in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
