Mrs.S.Indhu Balal Additional Government Pleader For R1 Mrs.S.R. Sumathy For R2 COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to remove the barricade put up by the 2nd respondent in Nilampakkam to

Alumelumangapuram-Tirupati National Highways 205, adjoining to petitioner's land comprised in Survey Nos.212/3A, 212/3C and 212/4B1; 212/3B and 212/4B2 situated in Panapakkam Village Taluk, Tirutani Taluk, Tiruvallur District, based on the representations of the petitioners dated 18.05.2024 to the 2nd respondent.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the 2nd respondent had acquired the petitioners' land in S.No.153/4B for the purpose of "Nilampakkam to Alumelumangapuram, Tirupathi National Highways 205" extension project. After acquiring the petitioners' land, the 2nd respondent has put up a barricade adjoining to the petitioners' land, due to which the petitioners have no access to reach their land comprised in S.No.212/3A, 212/3C, 212/4B1, 212/3B and 212/4B2. Therefore, the petitioners have made the representations to the 2nd respondent on 18.05.2024, seeking to remove the barricade. Since the said representations were not considered, these writ petitions have been filed. 3.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent by referring the counter affidavit would submit that for safety purpose of the road users, the barricade has been placed. However, the request of the petitioners will be considered.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the submissions made by either parties, it is evident that though the petitioners have made their representations seeking to remove the barricade, according to the 2nd respondent the said representations are not in a proper format. Hence, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representations in a proper format to the competent Authority, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation given by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
