This petition is filed to quash the Crime Number 4/AC/22/KM dated 25.07.2022 on the file of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department. Kanchipuram.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that initially the case was registered in Cr.No.21/2021 by the Inspector of Police, Thiruvallur, but, later, when anticipatory bail petition was filed by V.S.Devendiran, this Court has thought fit, the matter must be transferred to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption and conduct a preliminary enquiry. Accordingly, the case was registered in Crime No. 4/AC/22/KM. After preliminary enquiry, the matter has been dropped on 08.02.2023 and therefore, nothing survives in the petition.

3. The status report filed by the respondent indicates that the case of Job Rocketing was registered by Superintendent of Police, District Crime Branch, Thiruvallur in Cr.No.21/2021 under section 406 and 420 IPC. The case is under investigation and pending whereas Cr.NO. 4/AC/22/KM which came to be registered, subsequently, on the direction of this court by including Section

7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, after preliminary enquiry, found to be not made out and dropped. For the reasons stated above, nothing survives in this petition.
